Course description

RUSS 1102 is the second course in the six-semester Russian language sequence and is aimed at people who have taken RUSS 1101 or the equivalent. Using the textbook Beginner’s Russian by Anna Kudyma et al. with online exercises and additional authentic texts, you will improve your proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding Russian. By the end of the semester, you will be able to talk about families, food, daily routines, how people look, and what their personalities are like. You will know the past, present, and future tenses of both imperfective and perfective verbs, and you will know how to form five of the six Russian cases.
