Course description
The course objective is to understand through the study of the past those forces and dynamics operating in the world, whose origins can be traced to the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, that drove (and continue to drive) social, economic, cultural, and political change. Understanding these forces will allow you to see how you are not just a spectator before grand events but also a subject of history.
