Course description
Herzlich Willkommen! GER 1001 is the first course in the four-semester German language sequence at the University of Minnesota. It is designed for beginners in German who have little to no prior experience with the German language. The textbook, Augenblicke: German through Film, Media and Texts, is accompanied by online exercises in Canvas. The book makes use of authentic German-language materials, including excerpts from novels, short stories, YouTube videos, and film clips from Bella Martha.
