Course description
Study of representative plays from the Scandinavian/Nordic region from the late 19th century to today. In addition to studying themes of politics, society, and the human soul, the course will examine theater texts, stagings, mise-en-scène, promotional material, and other visual culture associated with the plays. All readings in translation.
