Ciao! Join us in learning Italian, a language loved worldwide that will allow you to access the amazing culture and vibrant lifestyle that make Italy so unique and bellissima!
In your first semester, you'll learn how to talk about yourself, your daily routine, hobbies, and, of course, food. You'll practice having simple conversations and start connecting with others. You’ll engage in interactive activities with your classmates to build confidence while using the language in real-world contexts. This approach will enhance your ability to communicate effectively in Italian and develop your critical and analytical skills.
Italian 1001 is a first semester beginner’s course designed for students with little or no prior knowledge of Italian. Upon successful completion of this course (grade of C- or better), you will be able to continue in Italian 1002.
Credit will not be granted if credit has been received for: FLOR 1001, ITAL 4001
