Course description
History of Central and Eastern Europe from the late 18th century to modern times, culture and society, nationalism and formation of nation states, the Bolshevik Revolution, the fall of Austria-Hungary, the interwar period, fascism, World War II, Jews and antisemitism, state socialism after 1945, everyday life under socialism, the Cold War, and the post-socialist transition.
