Course description

ADES 3223 focuses on knit and stretch design and construction, the interaction between materials and design in apparel. In this studio, we explore construction methods that take advantage of stretch textile properties, review fitting garments for different body shapes/sizes and with different stretch capacities, explore the various uses of stretch in the apparel market, and gain better understanding of Clo3d and technical tools of communication.
