Course description

Do you love singing Musical Theatre? Whether you are Defying Gravity with Cynthia Erivo, bearing your soul along with Ben Platt, finding vulnerability and beauty with Kelli O’Hare, or rocking out with Jonathan Groff alone in the car or shower, we find ourselves connecting to the journey and stories told through song. This class explores the interpretation of song through vocal, acting, and audition techniques. This class dives deep into the exploration of song, vocal technique, and character analysis through lectures, workshops, and individual sessions. This class is designed to build confidence not only for the individual and the performer as well. The class work cumulates to an end-of-the-semester cabaret performance.
