IDSC 4411 - Information Technology Governance and Assurance (2 Cr.)
Course description
Organizations need to ensure that information technology (IT) risks are managed to an acceptable level. Being able to demonstrate effective IT risk management requires appropriate governance and control implementation. This course introduces information technology general control coverage, including access control, change management, software development, and network security. Additional coverage includes governance frameworks, such as COBIT, the audit function and activities, and perspectives on the three lines of defense. Lectures, case studies, and real-world examples.
