Course description

Leadership and Personal Development helps you understand evidence-based leadership practices, discover your own strengths and vulnerabilities through structured assessments and feedback, and build real skills through practice. Although the course content is informed by leadership theory and empirical evidence, the focus is on developing leadership skills through practice to prepare you for effective leadership across settings. In this course, students will: (1) Expand understanding of what effective leadership looks like in today’s organizations; (2) Identify personal leadership strengths and growth areas through assessments, including a 360-degree feedback assessment designed to anchor their experience in the course; (3) Practice evidence-based leadership behaviors through applied exercises and assignments; (4) Build a tailored leadership development plan to support career goals.
