Course description

This course will introduce students to the elements of mental health assessment and the diagnostic process. Throughout this course, students will develop advanced clinical social work skills in clinical assessment and engagement, including the following: Learn how to use a biopsychosocial perspective and engagement strategies for interviewing skills, assessment writing skills, and diagnostic techniques used to understand criteria for mental health diagnostic codes and classifications.
