Course description
Builds on LA 8773. In-depth consideration of materials and assemblies including case studies of including carbon neutral and biophyllic approaches. Emphasis is placed on understanding longevity of materials and assemblies, embodied carbon, and lifecycle of materials and assemblies. Explores building codes and basic engineering principles. Advanced work in creating professional drawing sets for construction.
Consideration of how new materials and assemblies relate to current code requirements. Advanced drawing techniques. Consideration of construction costs including economic cost and carbon foot-printing and lifecycle analysis.
