Course description

This advanced studio course immerses students in the whole process of service design, integrating human-centered research, system mapping, prototyping, and implementation. Students collaborate to design and test service experiences that connect people, spaces, and operations. Each semester centers on a new real-world topic, where students apply design methods to analyze and launch live service demos. The course format provides expanded studio time for applied research, stakeholder co-creation, and prototype testing. Emphasizing collaboration, strategic framing, narrative communication, and critical reflection, the course prepares students to design scalable, sustainable, and experience-driven services for organizations and communities.
