Course description
Computational mechanics involving transient/ dynamic situations for solids and structures, heat transfer, fluid flow, nano-mechanics and the like. Development and analysis of numerical methods and computational algorithms. Stability and accuracy of algorithms, convergence issues; linear/nonlinear situations. Implicit, explicit, mixed, and variable time discretization approaches; modal-based methods for engineering problems.
