Course description
Advocacy and issue management communication provides organizations with a tool for promoting change, forming attitudes, and furthering dialogue about substantive issues. This course examines how advocacy and issue management communication creates dialogue that represents the goals of the organization and society, and the persuasive and media tactics used in advocacy and issue management communication. Typical class sessions will include a lecture and case discussion.
Prerequisite: Strategic Communication MA student or instructor permission.
