Understanding the connection between climate and health is essential for healthcare organizations to successfully plan for future needs and scenarios. As the largest sector of our economy, health care organizations have an obligation to take action to adapt to climate-related changes and to mitigate its effects.

This course will cover key topics associated with climate change that will have a direct effect on healthcare delivery organizations and their leaders and professionals. This includes the impact of climate change on underserved populations, changes in disease burden, disaster planning, environmental sustainability, and the general role of healthcare organizations and professionals as educators and advocates on this topic. Guest speakers will include remarkable leaders that are actively addressing these topics within the industry and within their organizations.
