Course description

This one-credit course focuses on increasing students' awareness, knowledge, and skills associated with the career and job search process in fields related to economics. Grounded in the concepts of life design and CliftonStrengths, the course aims to guide students through career exploration and discovery, preparing them to navigate internship and job search processes effectively. Students will explore their strengths and develop personalized strategies for career development through hands-on activities, career planning exercises, and assignments such as researching internships, writing cover letters, and learning networking techniques. By the end of this course, students will have developed practical tools to design a successful career path, enhancing their ability to apply for internships and career-related opportunities in their field.

This course meets the CLA requirement for the Second-Year Experience and can be taken in place of CLA 3002.
