Course description

IT Infrastructure Fundamentals is a cornerstone course for MIS students, providing them with the essential knowledge and skills needed to navigate the intersection of technology and business, contribute to strategic decision-making, and adapt to the rapidly changing IT landscape. This course will provide a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental aspects of IT infrastructure in modern enterprises. Students will explore the core components, including hardware, software, networks, and data management systems, alongside the principles of cloud computing, virtualization, and cybersecurity. Through a blend of lectures, guest speakers and case studies, students will gain practical insights into designing, implementing, and managing robust IT infrastructures that support organizational goals.
