Course description

Introduction to modern artificial intelligence. Trace the evolution of AI from early neural networks to large language models. Explore building apps using AI “vibe coding.” Examine core ethical challenges, including bias, authorship, societal risks, and environmental impacts.

Students with limited prior coding experience are encouraged to take CSCI 1521 concurrently. CSCI 1521 is a 1-credit course where students will learn basic coding principles in the programming language Python, tailored to the needs of CSCI 2521.
