Nutrition is the study of how nutrients, both essential and nonessential, affect health and all life processes. Consequently, nutrition is an extremely broad field that encompasses physiology, biochemistry, education, public health, and public policy. The nutrition graduate program is interdisciplinary.
Nutrition graduate minors will gain exposure to key concepts in nutrition, including the physiological and biochemical aspects of human nutrition. This minor provides valuable insights into the impact of nutrition on health and disease, equipping individuals with interdisciplinary knowledge to complement their primary field of study and enhancing their ability to address complex issues related to nutrition in various professional settings.
