Program description

Students will take 6–12 credits in Toledo, Spain, as part of this certificate. Students will minimally take 6 credits at UMN, ideally in their second-year, ahead of the learning abroad program in Toledo, Spain. All courses taken will provide adequate philosophical or historical context for 21st-century healthcare practice across myriad cultures. The certificate balances courses taken at the University of Minnesota with specific academic functions with courses at Toledo, which are more applied in nature. Students partake in learning abroad, generally, at the conclusion of two or three years of their education. The total minimum number of credits students will take for this certificate is 15.
