This course introduces students to the fundamental skills, techniques, and strategies of volleyball in a supportive and active learning environment. Students will learn and practice essential volleyball skills, including serving, passing, setting, attacking, blocking, and digging. Instruction will also cover basic offensive and defensive strategies, court positioning, and effective communication. Through a combination of drills, skill-building exercises, and game-like scenarios, students will refine their technique, improve their movement, and deepen their understanding of the game.

In addition to physical training, the course fosters teamwork, cooperation, and sportsmanship. Students will participate in team-building activities and scrimmages that reinforce the importance of collaboration and mutual respect in a team sport setting.

By the end of the course, students will have developed a solid foundation in volleyball and will be prepared to participate in recreational games with increased skill and confidence. The course is suitable for students of all fitness levels and requires no prior experience.

As part of the broader Physical Education curriculum, this course supports the development of physical skills, personal growth, and community building. Students will engage in activities that promote self-discipline, teamwork, and a lifelong commitment to physical activity.

Approximately 25% of class time is dedicated to lecture-based learning, while 75% involves hands-on physical skill development and practice. The course is open to all students and designed for novices eager to learn, move, and grow.

PE classes involve a moderate to high level of energy expenditure and are considered moderately to highly intense. It is recommended that students be aware of their health status and any limitations that may affect their ability to participate safely in the physical activities involved in the course.
