Course description
In this course, we will explore specific themes or issues, from different time periods, as they are reflected in Spanish peninsular literature. The focused study of the class topic will be framed within a broader exploration of larger historical, political and cultural movements and trends. Through the study of the diverse topics explored in different classes, students will gain an appreciation for the diversity of cultures in Spain and the plurality of possible critical approaches to literary texts. Students will develop the skills and vocabulary to engage in a critical practice of textual analysis.
