KIN3027

Kinesiology 3027 is a 4-credit introduction to human anatomy that examines the human body by organ systems. The course consists of two 50-minute lectures and one 100-minute lab per week, leveraging augmented reality (AR) cadaver technology. Students will identify and describe the structure-function relationships of anatomical structures. This course covers major organ systems from histological to gross levels, including, but not limited to, the integument, nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, respiratory, urinary, digestive, and reproductive systems while emphasizing musculoskeletal systems and movement. This course uses Microsoft HoloLenses to provide AR cadavers in addition to traditional physical and 2D models. AR technology facilitates a holistic integration of many body systems and helps students visualize structures that are challenging to depict with other models and methods.
