Course description
This course focuses on the academic and language skills necessary to thrive in a U.S. university setting. Students will strengthen English language communication skills, both written and oral, that will help them succeed in their other content area courses at the University. Focus is on setting and achieving goals for academic success, understanding and using academic resources for the U.S. university, and building strategies and language for more effective communication with instructors and peers in academic writing, presentations, discussions, and group projects.
