Course description
Examine concepts, theories, and paradigms of mental health within the context of psychiatric nursing practice and integrative mental health care. Develop holistic psychiatric interviewing methods that elicit the client’s health narrative and promote a comprehensive psychiatric assessment. Enhance culturally appropriate skills that foster therapeutic relationships. Promote appreciation and skill in reflective clinical practice.
