Course description

This course provides an overview of specialized approaches and intervention systems available to maximize developmental and educational outcomes for infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities. EPSY 5682 is a self-directed, online course that is divided into five modules. Students will learn about children’s development, components of the evaluation process to support determinations of eligibility for early intervention services, as well as how to design and provide early intervention services. As a result, students will be prepared to utilize approaches that are interdisciplinary, multicultural, family-centered, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate within the context of natural, authentic learning environments for infants and toddlers.
