Course description
Examination of different types of leases. Relevance of BOMA (Building Office & Managers Association) space standards. Understanding components of total annual and capital facility costs. Analyzing and interpreting facility financial statements and reports. Constructing facility capital and operating budgets. Illustrating GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) related to asset capitalization, and applying financial terminology when speaking to the chief financial officer.
Recommended prereq: ABUS 4101 or basic accounting/finance knowledge/experience
