Course description

In this course, teacher candidates will engage in focused study on the features of language used in school settings. Academic text types, paragraph organizational structures, and advanced-level syntactic structures will be the main focus of the course. The course also explores disciplinary language and introduces promising pedagogical practices for teaching language for a variety of communicative purposes.
