This course introduces the different topics related to Rehabilitation Science that graduate students will encounter as they progress in their education and career. Classes encompass the history, theory, and disciplines of Rehabilitation Science and prepare the student for rehabilitation research by introducing the students to topics such as disability theories and models; disability equity and rights; evidenced-based practice in allied health; translational research; regenerative medicine; quantitative and qualitative research; clinical trials; rehab engineering design and development; and interdisciplinary collaboration. Class sessions will include presentations from Rehabilitation Science faculty members, field experts, and will be followed by learning activities planned and guided by students.
