Course description
The primary objective of this course is to educate you about the ethical problems facing lawyers and judges in criminal investigations and lawsuits. You will study the lawyers morality, the adversary system and the duties of the criminal defense lawyer, client autonomy, the duty and limits of zealous representation, lawyer-client trust and confidence, perjury and the search for the truth, counseling and preparing witnesses, the ethics of cross-examination, judges ethics, conflicts of interest, and prosecutors ethics.
