Course description
Literacy and race in schools examined, especially how power plays out, and what are the possibilities for creating radical democratic forms of life. Conceptions of language, literacy, whiteness, and racial identities are explored. Topics include educators talk and silence about race, Ebonics, and youths racial identities in global times.
