Course description

This course is designed for students who are interested in public health and environmental issues. This course focuses on how assessment of exposure to hazards and the adverse health effects they may cause is used to evaluate environmental health risk, and how environmental policy is developed to protect public health. Students will explore the forces and strategies that contribute to the development of environmental health policy, including the roles of scientific evidence, strategic decision-making, and the political process.
