INMD 7705 - Global Health Research and Education (4-8 Cr.)
Course description
Students may receive credit for virtual, domestic, or electives which further their knowledge and skills in the area of Global Health. Students must complete at least 4 weeks of activities and may receive credit for up to 8 weeks of activities. Students may select from a number of pre-approved offerings or self directed experiences at the discretion of the course director.
The purpose of the new elective is to complement INMD 7565, which is a hands on elective that provides credit for clinical rotations abroad. Our office receives a number of requests for experiences which do not meet the hands on requirement. We would like to have a mechanism to offer credit for these experiences (as well as funding for selections that are consistent with donor funds) and also provide students with an opportunity to receive credit for a number of high quality learning experiences.
