Course description
What makes your life meaningful? What role does overall wellbeing play as you think about your life’s purpose? How can self-reflection, belonging, self-compassion, gratitude, and curiosity help you navigate your daily life and help you become more resilient in times of distress and conflict? In this course, you will have the opportunity to discover your gifts, values, and passions, and understand why meaning and fulfillment are important parts of a balanced life. You will learn to create daily practices that focus on meaning—as well as set long-term wellbeing goals—that will contribute to your growth and flourishing throughout your life. You will practice using tools such as self-compassion meditation, journaling, and community engagement to support healthy coping strategies and stress/emotional management. Assignments include a six-week Purpose Quest, culminating in writing your own purpose statement, as well as weekly reflections, discussions, and polls.
