Course description

The field of User Experience (UX) Design focuses on the relationship between people and digital
experiences, including websites, mobile apps, software platforms, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and wearable technologies. By combining user research with human-centered design, UX designers create meaningful experiences that enhance people’s lives. This introductory course provides a foundation in UX Design, covering key topics such as user
interviews, personas, heuristics, ideation, wireframing, User Interface (UI) Design, and usability
research. Participants will learn introductory skills using industry-standard tools, like Figma, to create intuitive design solutions. Students will design a digital experience and present their process along with their final solutions. By the end of the course, students will be able to apply UX methods to create user-centered designs, think creatively to deliver impactful solutions, and cultivate approaches for design innovation.
