Program description
The Carlson Business Administration PhD program is a rigorous, research-based program designed to prepare students for future research, academic, organizational, or government positions. The full-time program is dedicated to training scholars to advance knowledge in their discipline and to share this knowledge with their students, communities, and organizations. The program is for individuals who enjoy independent research and analytical thinking and wish to master a discipline within business administration through a variety of techniques, including but not limited to statistical modeling and analysis, dynamic modeling, data mining, and experimental methods.
Students choose to concentrate in one of seven areas of specialization: accounting; finance; information and decision sciences; marketing; supply chain and operations; strategic management and entrepreneurship; and work and organizations.
