This degree has two components:

  1. Juris Doctor Course Requirements, and

  2. Academic Rule 3.1(b) Classroom Direct Instruction Requirement

-Concentrations are optional; students can complete a maximum of 2 concentrations

Completion requirement

This concentration requires students to complete an immersion experience, which is met by the mandatory LAW 6833 ADR course. There is no research paper requirement or option for this concentration.

The immersion experience requirement for this concentration is fulfilled by the mandatory trial practice course. There is no separate writing (research paper) required for this concentration. Complete a field placement or externship on a concentration-related topic approved by the Faculty Chair.
(Note: Eligibility of LAW 6067, 7607, 7609, 762X, and 7640 are dependent upon the subject of the work, and will require approval of the Faculty Chair. Additionally, for LAW 6067 and 7640, a maximum of 4 credits may apply toward concentration credits.)
