Program learning outcomes

Critical Thinking: Philosophy supports students’ abilities to process information, critically evaluate it, and justify their positions. Philosophy courses guide students’ development of formal tools for critical thinking, such as symbolic logic, as well as less formal methods, including careful textual analysis.

Communication: Philosophy emphasizes clear, precise, and explicit communication. Students are trained to communicate persuasively and rationally, especially in written and oral contexts.
