Program learning outcomes
Learning outcomes are tailored to individual doctoral students and their unique academic and professional goals pursuing a doctoral minor in psychology. Outcomes are determined in consultation with the Department of Psychology’s director of graduate studies (DGS) and may involve developing a foundational knowledge of multiple sub-disciplines within psychology and their interdisciplinary application to a specific research topic in another field, developing disciplinary research methods and quantitative skills, and/or gaining specialized knowledge within one of the Department’s seven areas of specialization.
