Social and Administrative Pharmacy M.S.

Students are required to complete 2 credits of SAPh 8100: Seminar by enrolling in seminar a minimum of 2 semesters. Although not required, students are encouraged to enroll in seminar every semester that they are enrolled in the SAPh program.

Students must complete a minimum of 9 additional credit hours from the following SAPh courses. Students may choose from any of the following courses to fulfill the additional 9 credits in SAPh. Students enrolled in the combined MS/Residency program are strongly encouraged to enroll in SAPh 8700 as part of the 9-credit SAPh elective requirement.

Students are required to complete a minimum of 3 credits of statistics. Students may choose from the following courses to fulfill the 3-credit statistics requirement. Additional statistics courses may be approved by the director of graduate studies in consultation with the student’s advisor.

Students must take six or more semester credits in one or more areas outside the major. Students may want to consider, but are not limited to, courses in the following areas. Students are advised to pay close attention to pre-requisite requirements noting that not every elective course listed may be available, or may only be available upon instructor approval.

Plan A students must take 10 master's thesis credits (SAPH 8777)

Plan B students must take 10 additional course credits, selected in consultation with the advisor, to complete the 30-credit minimum. See courses listed in the External Electives Requirements section.
