Experience in working with children and/or people with disabilities is preferred.

Fall Start: The priority deadline for fall start applications is March 15. The final deadline for fall start applications is June 15th. Applications will be reviewed on a monthly basis starting April 15. Applications submitted after the June 15th deadline will not be reviewed until the October 15 priority deadline for spring start.

Spring Start: The priority deadline for spring start applications is October 15. The final deadline for spring start applications is November 15. Applications will be reviewed on a monthly basis starting October 15. Applications submitted after the November 15 deadline will not be reviewed until the April 15 priority deadline for fall start.

- One to two page applicant statement outlining goals, interests, experiences, etc.

- One letter of recommendation is required [.pdf], two preferred, from individuals in the education field (for the online application, applicants will be asked to enter recommenders' information into the online application; a message will be automatically sent to those recommenders with further instructions on how to submit their letters)
- Unofficial transcripts from all collegiate institutions attended (Students who are accepted will need to send official transcripts in a sealed envelope. University of Minnesota graduates need not submit University of Minnesota transcripts to Office of Graduate Admissions.)
- International applicants should submit a foreign transcript evaluation from an accredited reviewer (ECS http://www.ece.org/ or WES http://www.wes.org/students/index.asp)
