Program learning outcomes
The Department of SLHS uses the following learning outcomes:
Students can understand diverse philosophies and culture within and across societies.
Students can locate and critically evaluate information.
Students can identify, define, and solve problems.
Students can communicate effectively.
Students will have acquired skills for effective citizenship and lifelong learning.
Students will have mastered a body of knowledge and a mode of inquiry.
In addition to the college and university SLO, the program meets the prerequisite course content areas related to SLP certification standards set forth by the Council for Clinical Certification in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CFCC) and the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA), including academic coursework requirements in Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemistry, Social Sciences and Behavioral Sciences.
