Over the course of a student’s graduate career, the faculty has agreed that students should have acquired experience, skills and competency with the objectives listed below in mind:
1. Design youth interventions with a global and international understanding of young people and youth work.
2. Communication effectively to a wide-variety of audience including communities, funding agencies, and young people.
3. Exercise leadership in practice, program design, and policy.
4. Create a professional development process to continually learn and improve their own practice.
5. Embed ethical understandings from youth work practice into daily interactions, program designs, and community interventions.
