Program learning outcomes
We use approved program specific learning outcomes:
Students will have the ability to think theoretically and across disciplines about questions regarding globalization and culture, representation and power, and epistemology/knowledge making.
Students will have the ability to think theoretically and across disciplines about questions regarding political, economic, spatial and historical moorings of global modernity, and its filial formations, the nation-state and capitalism
Students will know how to ask a research question, conduct relevant primary and secondary source research, and synthesize knowledge to suggest a new argument or analysis.
Students will know how to communicate effectively and in appropriate genre and media.
Students will learn how to think critically about categories, institutions, and systems of power.
Students will explore their positionality in a globalized world and the ethics of their choices.
