Graduates of the HFE program are expected to demonstrate the following skills and competencies:

• Demonstrate advanced knowledge and scholarly expertise in a recognized HFE area of study

• Apply timely and relevant research methods and methodologies

• Communicate effectively with intended audiences

• Exhibit professionalism, citizenship, and service to the academic and professional community

• Collaborate effectively and provide leadership on multidisciplinary teams

• Apply and/or teach HFE disciplinary knowledge in practice

• Understand and adhere to ethical standards in research and professional practice
