Program learning outcomes
The student learning outcomes for MPP students are defined by the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA). Students in the minor should be able to achieve competency in at least one of the 5 outcomes: the ability to:
-lead and manage in the public interest;
-participate in, and contribute to, the policy process;
-analyze, synthesize, think critically, solve problems and make evidence-informed decisions in a complex and dynamic environment;
-articulate, apply, and advance a public service perspective; or
-communicate and interact productively and in culturally responsive ways with a diverse and changing workforce and society at large.
