Program description

The purpose of the AuD program is to prepare clinical practitioners in the field of audiology with an interest in hearing and balance disorders. Audiology students will be taught to implement evidence-based practice with their clients/patients. Students must demonstrate the ability to interpret and apply current and future findings in the field and must have excellent analytical and communication skills. AuD program students will receive a combination of intensive academic and clinical education from coursework, laboratory experiences, and patient/client contact. The AuD program also ensures that graduates are eligible for state and national credentials in audiology.

Individuals interested in pursuing an advanced degree in audiology should apply directly to the audiology AuD program. Students admitted to the AuD are eligible to apply to the University's Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences MA/Audiology track.
