Description of other application requirements

In order to complete the MA program in two years, we expect applicants to complete the following prior to enrollment:
Statistics - At least 3 credits with hypothesis testing
Social/Behavioral Sciences - At least 2 credits
Biological Sciences - At least 2 credits
Physical Sciences - At least 2 credits, must be physics or chemistry
Anatomy and Physiology of Speech and Hearing - 1 full semester course required
Language Aquisition - 1 full semester course required
Phonetics - 1 full semester course required
Speech Science - 1 full semester course required
Neuroscience of Language - 1 full semester course required
Clinical Methods in Speech-Language Pathology - 1 full semester course required
Hearing Assessment - 1 full semester course required
Aural Rehabilitation - 1 full semester course required

Students admitted without having completed the above prerequisites must complete them upon admission. Prerequisite courses do not count toward the minimum MA course requirements, and students admitted without the coursework most often require a 3rd year to complete the
