Program description
The Master of Professional Studies in Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) prepares students for the clinical realities of supporting clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. The IBH degree integrates mental health and substance use education and training into a single cohesive program, representing an important and pioneering shift in the preparation of clinicians. The program provides a strong theoretical and practical foundation in integrative treatment modalities, assessment, professional and ethical responsibilities, diversity and cultural sensitivity training, and client advocacy culminating in an applied, clinical field placement. The IBH degree prepares students with educational requirements for dual licensure in Minnesota through the MN Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) .
