College of Continuing and Professional Studies (TUCL) 30I - Master of Professional Studies

Program description

The Master of Professional Studies in Integrated Behavioral Health is a rigorous counselor education program that prepares students as future counselors to serve diverse populations with co-occurring substance use and mental health health disorders. As one of the first programs in the nation to utilize this integrated model, students benefit from a robust theoretical and skills-based curricular foundation, and graduate from the program with the coursework completed that fulfills the educational requirements for the Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) licenses in the state of Minnesota. Students enter the counseling profession with a strong foundation in integrative treatment modalities, clinical skills, professional and ethical responsibilities, cultural attunement, and client advocacy.
